The 4 stars are for the content of this lovely little book, not the Kindle formatting, which is dismal. You will have to re-read some paragraphs, especially the dialogue, to sort everything out.That unpleasantness aside, this is a fast paced Angelino tale, vividly painting the vapid selfishness of the Hollywood publicity machine. The protagonist is refreshing in that she is entirely ordinary; this isn't a book about extraordinary people, but rather extraordinary circumstances. Bunny rises to the occasion, & the reader finds themselves wanting to like whom she likes, loathe whom she loathes, & win.
This would appeal very much to YA audiences & is quite successful in evoking that genre without pandering to it. It's natural. I've read too many YA books trying super hard to seem grown up, or too many grown ups trying to snag the voracious reading appetites of YAs. This book strikes a genuine happy middle. I am not a YA & still enjoyed it. De Bach is a no-nonsense writer, painting pictures without gilding lilies. I hope she writes more!

I thought this book was a fun read and very well written. Being from Los Angeles it was especially great knowing all the LA references.I really enjoyed this book and I absolutely recommend it.
